The calculator has some printing quality for the letters of the buttons and when I checked the QR code on it, Casio website is saying this is not a genuine product please do not purchase.
It also has no warranty card.

After being ripped off by Banggood, which sent me a fake first edition of this calculator, I purchased this one from Amazon / Casio. When you have the real thing vs the fake one you see the difference.
1-functionality seems to be the same with fake and real one,
2-Huge difference in clarity of the LCD. The fake one is hopelessly dim/lacking contrast,
3-There is no battery in the battery compartment of the fake one, neither any wire connections/holder contact etc. Just a gaping hole. Obviously with the real one you get the battery sitting there nicely
4-The general built quality of the real one is noticeably much better than the fake one.
5- Last but not least, the price for such a fine machine is unbelievably attractive. Bravo Casio :) Recommend it to everybody wholeheartedly .

Very light. Never used a scientific calculator before and I always thought all calculators were heavy like the ones shopkeepers use but this is too light to be true! In fact I had to check the genuinity of it to make sure it was real. Overall, I think it's good that this calculator is lightweight. Does the calculations pretty fast. Except some hairy definite integrals it gives an answer almost always under 5 seconds for the computationally tougher problems and instantly for the basic ones. Love that you can type fractions in numerator/denominator format and go back and forth between calculations or even edit a calculation you already ran (trust me you need that a lot when you type a whole expression and misprint something, saves you having to type it again). Overall, go for it. If it's available upto 1200, great! I got mine for 1080 something but they've been selling these expensive since then. If you're in first year engineering, go for it without second thoughts!
